I was thinking about similarities between Secret Wars & Heroes Reborn (spoiler: Secret Wars does it better) and started wondering: did Heroes Reborn work? I don't mean artistically, I just mean in its goals of revitalizing the characters? It seemed to me those comics really did help the Avengers family of characters get popular again, and clear away some of the less successful experiments of the '90s (Teen Tony) allowing them to come back fresh. I'm not saying they were good, but did they help?

Regardless of what anybody thought of those Heroes Reborn books, they did bring a lot of eyeballs and a lot of attention to those characters, who had been suffering a bit under a stigma of being old fashioned and out of date. So on that level, it certainly seems so.
